About
About Andy
Andy Hoffman graduated from Jasper High School in Jasper, IN. He took many classes in communication, design and business technology. He furthered his education by studying Technology Education at Vincennes University Jasper Campus then went on to Vincennes University and Indiana State University. Throughout these years, he dabbled in personal blogging and making small websites for others. He decided that he wanted to make money by creating websites on the side while working part time at various other jobs. For half a year he developed this idea and began doing projects in Jasper, but nothing took off. Then in early 2010 he designed Kris Lasher’s Stress Away for Women website. The development of that website led to the Ferdinand Folk Festival website.
Birth of a Business
After a those projects, Andy decided to become a Limited Liability Corporation. He moved to Ferdinand above the Ferdinand Antique Emporium and Boundless Grounds Coffee Cafe. Barbara Mathies, Empress of the Emporium as we have dubbed her, noticed that Andy loved to wear a fedora and would give him a feather for good luck to place in the hat. She noted that Feathered Fedora would be a catchy title of a store. Thus, the name Feathered Fedora Design was born.
Feathered Fedora Design continues to operate at 1440 Main Street above Boundless Grounds and Ferdinand Antique Emporium in Ferdinand, IN.
The Future
There are some plans to expand the business to include more services and include more people on projects and will do so at a pace that fits much like a custom tailored hat.
